The UK finally seems to be cottoning on to veal, and why it is such an ethical meat when properly reared.  And about time too!  TV programmes such as Channel 4's The Lie of the Land and BBC3's Kill it, Cook it, Eat it! have brought the issue of dairy bull calves to our attention, and newspapers are taking up the baton.  Even the pressure group Compassion in World Farming is supporting the production of British veal as a way of ending live exports of calves.  Here are some articles which have appeared in the national press explaining the ethical issues behind veal production in the UK and elsewhere:
